The worst case scenario that could ever happen to your sweet dream, is not fearing that it won't come true; but it is the moment it came true, and things got so well that you suspect it got no where to go, but downwards.

Roller Coaster Ride
Great thing!
I just missed my bus! I knew the minute I woke up, turned my head for a catching glimpse of the clock sitting down on my table pointing 10.30AM!
Shit. I will never make it (further reaffirmed when I looked at the pile of unwashed clothes, the stack of rubbish inside my room, and the condition of my room was nowhere near YOU-MAY-LEAVE-NOW-AND-COME-BACK-AFTER-2-WEEKS)
Fine. My friend sort of woke me up by calling me around 10.20am because he wanted to pass me my bus ticket. Thank god (HALLELUJAH)!
Or else..(let's just not get there okay? :D)
So, quickly picked up my phone, punched in the bus center's number, and made a quick call to defer my departure time. HOLLA! DONE!
No point ranting now because I screwed up for waking up so late, undone laundry, and I procrastinated every single time I wanna clean my room up. I think I deserved all these things befalling on me.
Not to mention, I banged my head against the television's steel frame with a loud pang! And got lost in the campus I almost stayed for a year now.
Pocket empty, no money, and I start to think my life is taking a downward spiral.
Sitting down here, eating my 60cents Gardenia bread, and typing this blog post made me think that
"Once in a while, you need to get your head knocked for a reality check. Just to make sure, you're still living and breathing fighting your way out in this cutthroat world."

Let Go. Let Live.
People always say "You know you should try and let go when you think the relationship is getting serious, and if it comes back to you, then you know it will be yours"
Bullshit.
Have you ever wondered, if BOTH parties also let go just to TEST each other? In the end, both of them missed the opportunity to get together and ended up with someone else.
If your heart tells you this is the right one, go for it. Don't listen to others. Stop thinking about others and start, for once, think about your happiness. Never, ever try to let it go just to test it. This is not Frisbee. If you let it go, then there is a chance you wont get it back. Hence, You should always, always cling on it. Clench it tightly like an eagle's paw.
And you live happily ever after.
Bullshit.

Scribbles #7
I love sleeping.
No, it's not because I'm lazy or anything. I love sleeping 'cause there is something about waking up.
I think human brains are like Windows sometimes, everyday when you wake up, it's like a reboot and everything feels brand new.
And you know that brief 3 seconds when you first wake up, that you can't tell the reality from dream? Like you can't even tell if it's morning or evening? For that 3 brief seconds, you can't tell if your dream happened or not. You can't tell did you kiss your crush for real.
But what I love about sleeping most, is that I hope, by the slightest chance, when I open my eyes, I will find you lying beside me, your eyes piercing into my soul, and you would break into a smile, and say "good morning".

Scribbles #6
I don't know how you can break your heart when it is already shattered in million pieces.
I only know, that you can. Trust me. Been there, done that.
I also happened to know how to put it back together, finally.
Ask the same person who broke your heart. Remember the first time your eyes met and how that person's stare was so strong it melted your heart? Maybe you should sneak a peek at the all-powerful eyes again, to melt your heart all over again and mold it into a new one.
Though I'm quite sure the shape will not be the same. It will never be the same.
...and they live happily never after.
It ended.
Finally, it ended.
Spanning across 4 seemingly long and unbearable years, it ended.
I could use a glorious quote to describe it;
I could Google some meaningful pictures to use as metaphore;
I could write chapters and chapters of anecdotes;
I could rewind so many memories and reminiscent one by one;
But in the end,
what difference would it make?
Would it make me any happier?
Would it make me any sadder?
Would I be stronger?
Would I ever be the same again?
Sometimes you don't really need an explanation to logic what has happened, do you?
Sometimes you just can't reason with God, why it has to end like this?
Maybe because that's the way it is. And maybe there is nothing you can do about it.
Maybe the famous happy ending is not for everyone.
Maybe things end, just like that.
Just like that.
Scribbles #4
Crushes are like the mantel within Eyjafjallajokull. Just when you thought everything was calm and bland, the emotions deep inside you just erupted like an volcano. Hence, one must constantly suppresses such feelings. Failing to do so might result in casualty, just like a volcano eruption.
Scribbles #3
All the time we hear people talking about balancing.
Balancing your life between work and family, balancing your account, balancing your social life and work, et cetera. You don't want to fall, cause it hurts. Badly.
But I think sometimes we gotta lose balance a little bit. I mean, you would never know if there is anyone to catch you when you fall right?
Maybe this is what they mean when they say falling in love. You know, lose your balance a little bit.
Scribbles #2
I don't know about you, but I personally think that love and food have a lot of similarities as well as differences.
First off, they come with a price. It might be cheap, it might be expensive, but you might want to open your eyes and look for price tag carefully. If you can't afford it, just walk away. Don't pay for the price, or you will regret. Goods sold are not refundable, eh?
Of course, we all have our favorites. Be it 3-course meals, fast foods, home-mades, junk foods or even raw, we all have our own favorites. What suits you, might not suit others. Your favorite food might cause allergies to others. And just like relationship, what you perceive of others, does not mean that the same person will think of the same or have the same feeling about you either.
However, unlike food, you don't find love lurking around everywhere. Some lucky people could find love everywhere, while some probably would starve to death. And, of course, you can't get a shopping assistant to help you to get what you want.
Also, you can't share love like you share food. The thing is, remember, it's barely enough for two. It's not like Jesus handling out a piece of bread and it is miraculously enough for everyone. You keep it to yourself, and you don't share. Beware for the hunger-strickens, they might just do anything to grab that away from you.
But there is something you should know about food. They have expiry dates, you see.
When the food becomes rotten, the appropriate thing to do is to dispose it once and for all.
Though some might feel reluctant to do so, feeling that one should not waste the chance and take a risk.
The outcome of getting food poisoning, as I heard, it might just kill you.

when you are used to being alone for such a long time, would you still remember that, eventually, you are meant to be the perfect match for someone else?
Scribbles #0 - an introduction
OK before I start writing this, I need to explain about this new scribbles section.
So basically scribbles are stuffs that crossed my mind randomly, inspired by things that had happened onto me, or when I was reading/watching TV/doing anything else and I start imagining how would I feel if I were the person.
I just want to scribble down what and how I feel towards something, usually metaphorically comparing it to something else. Scribbles may or may not be fictitious, but they are completely 100% written by yours truly. I actually written few in my personal private blog, but then BenjaminButton urged me to put in more than book reviews, so, I hope it will be another attractions to our site and you will like what I wrote. Don't be too harsh, I'm not a pro. =]

HOW TO DITCH THE ORIENTAL MINDSET!
Behind every closed doors, lies the silent grief of a child. Who secretly yearns to be part of the Western culture, to be able to experience what science project is all about? what summer activities they can join during the break? Experiences gained outside the classroom that can never be taught in class.
Yes. behind each closed doors of oriental families, lies a hope. A dim spark of hope, that brings forth to a change.
Let me share with you a true Malaysian story.
I grew up with homework. Yes, if there's a thing/chore that I grew up with, is definitely homework. I don't even tidy my bed on a daily basis.
The moment i stepped into pre-school, i had to shoulder the responsibility to complete each homework given by the teacher and the consequences of not finishing the homework will result in severe punishment that one could hardly imagine.
And every time the thought of unfinished homework flashed across my mind, i'll get sweaty palms, feeling restless and resort to copying other's answers. The thing in mind was to get it done to avoid punishment.
How oriental culture teaches is basically the spoon-feeding method. Feed the students with knowledge, and expect them to produce back the same thing. So i hope you get the picture of it.
How this matter irked me, is the fact that we're not moving forward. We are just merely floating. For those who realized that floating will them nowhere, they are the ones who managed to grasp the concept of learning everything in the classroom does not make you the smartest of all.
Trivia which I came across from watching a tv show ; Who is the first American pilot who managed to travel faster than sound?
At this point, if you can answer (and you think is correct) Congratulations. You're out of this square box.
But if you can't answer this. I'l give you a second try ; Who is the first American president who got assassinated?
bye got too bored writing.

Sepulchre (Languedoc Trilogy #2) - Kate Mosse
Details:
TITLE: Sepulchre
AUTHOR: Kate Mosse
GENRE: Supernatural- Fantasy-Adventure
PUBLISHER: Orion Books (2007)
ISBN: 978-0399154676
PAGES: 732
Synopsis:
Welcome to Sepulchre, the sequel in the Langeudoc Trilogy. Basically the place is still the same, most of the story happens in Carcassonne, to be exact, an estate called Domaine de la Cade located in Rennes-Les-Bains.
The style of the writing is still very much like the first book, Labyrinth. The book involves two main protagonists, Leonie Vernier from 19th century, and Meridith Martin from present. The biggest difference is, instead of the present protagonist being the reincarnation form of the past, Meredith is actually a direct descendant of the Vernier family.
In fact, one of the main reasons Miss Martin decided to travel from America to France is to find her family history (Meredith is adopted since birth). In Paris, she was intrigued when she was handed a flyer of a Tarot card reading. On it, there was a Tarot card, La Justice, and the illustration looks exactly like Meredith herself.
The reading of the Tarot is somewhat puzzling, which the reader only understood in the end of the novel. After the reading, Meredith went to the present Domaine de la Cade, now a hotel run by a family, to find some clues.
In the 19th century, Leonie and her brother went to Rennes Les Bains on behalf of the invitation of their aunt, Isolde Lascombe. It was at there they heard of these folklores on a demon, who dwells in a sepulchre near the estate and could be summoned using a deck of Tarot cards. Leonie accidentally found the sepulchre, and experienced some strange incident there.
It was not until the middle the readers found out that Isolde is actually Anatole Vernier's lover and she is forced to stay there because of a villain, Victor Constant, who won't rest until he found them and kill them.
The story flips back and forth and overall it's about how a deck of Tarot cards could use to summon a demon in a sepulchre, and the relationship between the cards and the characters (8 major cards referring to 8 characters in the novel), and the life of Leonie.
The climax of the story is on 31st October, 1897 and 2007. The Eve of All Saints. Everthing is related, as it turned out. And although some supernatural elements are involved in it, I have to say this book is slightly better than Labyrinth, in terms of the ending. Though Labyrinth's progression of storyline is much better and not so boring.

Why BAD guys always end up dying/disappearing/jailed in the end of the show? Be it in the movies/cartoons/dramas and etc etc.
BUT WHY?
Is just so unfair at the thought of it. So disturbed.
- I admit that antagonist characters get shortcut most of the time. For example, when they wanna get into some secret HIDEOUT, poof, they just miraculously appear! GOD KNOWS HOW THEY GET IN!
- While the protagonist characters need to squeeze their brain juice figuring out how to get in!
BUT that's the only advantage of being the bad guy. Your takes are lesser, hence less talking or action and the biggest drawback is NO PRETTY GIRL!
How come bad people no need pretty girl? Is it because bad guys don't deserve pretty girls? Which law states that bad guys are prohibited from having pretty girls in shows!
Even if they have, they end up getting stolen by the good guy

WHY BAD GUYS ALWAYS MISS IN SHOOTING!
Usually is one hero versus ten armed bad guys, but they still lose wtf.
Pull the trigger and kill the hero. What usually happens is that, the hero can take on ALL OF THEM and still unharm.
poor bad guys. sigh.

one day im gonna stand up for all the bad guys and let them triumph over the good people.
such despicable act, to keep letting the good guy wins.
but in reality, good guys always lose to bad guys. because bad guys are filthy rich, filthy influential and surrounded by super hot girls.
sometimes movies are just plain delusional.

Labyrinth (Languedoc Trilogy #1) - Kate Mosse
Details:
TITLE: Labyrinth
AUTHOR: Kate Mosse
GENRE: Fantasy-Adventure
PUBLISHER: Orion Books (2005)
ISBN: 0752860534
PAGES: 544
Synopsis:
Basically this book is so thick because two related stories are weaved into one. In 1209, in Carcassonne a seventeen-year-old Alais Pelletier was given a mysterious book by her father, which he claims contains within the secret of the True Grail. In 2005, Alice Tanner discovered two skeletons in a forgotten cave in the French Pyrennes. Puzzled by the labyrinth symbol carved into the rock, she began her adventure to find out what exactly happened 800 years ago in the cave.
The stories are related. Kate Mosse would put in a few chapters of stories of 13th century, then the scene will cut to the modern times. For example, at the ending of chapter 15, Alais from 1209 is going to bed. Then in chapter 16, the story will cut to Alice Tanner from 2005 waking up in the morning. Such closely knitted storyline is rather well-written, although sometimes one might get confused.
The main puzzle is, of course, the labyrinth symbol. Now this is not the labyrinth from the Greek mythology involving Deadalus and Theseus, instead this labyrinth refers to the puzzle of the true Holy Grail, which means it actually originated from 1AD.
Sorry for the long introduction. I shall now briefly talk about the plot.
Alais Pelletier is the daughter of this second in command man in Carcassone. Hence, she is sort of like a princess in her place. However, the enemy of the city would siege the city soon. Hence she is trusted with a ring and a mysterious book written in Hieroglyph and was forced to flee the city with Sajhe, her young friend and a commoner.
Little does she knows that her sister is actually the main villain, and together with Alais' own husband, they are plotting to get the book from Alais at all cost. Alais found a long time friend of her dad's, and was explained of the history of the book and the ring.
Years have passed living in the mountain hiding from her sister, finally came a night where she has to go to a cave and protect the book and the ring from her sister.
Back to the future. Alice Tanner found two skeletons in the cave. There was supposed to be a ring, however Alice failed to see it and the ring was brought by a young police officer whose mother is an ally of Audric Baillard. The identity of Audric Baillard is perhaps the key to solving the mystery of Holy Grail.
In the modern world. the villain is a group of secret society which is ran by a mother-and-son duo. They already possess two of the three books and is eager to get the final book, which whereabouts is still unknown since 1209.
In the end when the two stories converge, it became clear that what can the three books do, when combined. And how the rings played a role there.
What's exciting about this book is that the author doesn't just tell you what happens next. She told you 70% of what has happened, in a narrative way; then the story will move to the modern world, where the protagonist there discover some artifacts or ruins, and you the readers can complete imagining what happened to the other 30%.
Overall this is an OK book, the plot is fresh, the writing style is somewhat unprecedented. Just that the book is a little bit too long, over 500 pages. I heard the sequel is even longer, more than 700 pages. OMG.

The Nostradamus Prophecies - Mario Reading
Details:
TITLE: THE NOSTRADAMUS PROPHECIES
AUTHOR: MARIO READING
GENRE: FANTASY-ADVENTURE
PUBLISHER: ATLANTIC BOOKS (August 2009)
ISBN: 9781848871243
PAGES: 428
Synopsis:
Nostradamus, the most famous prophet in the past, wrote 1000 prophecies (quatrains). Of these 1000, only 942 survived. What happened to the other 58? What prophecies could be so terrible that they had to be hidden from the society? No one really knows.
Nostradamus, besides accurately predicting the happening of the 2 World Wars, The 9/11 incident, Katrina Hurricane and much more, also predicted the Second Coming (of Jesus) and the Third Antichrist (who is like the biggest villain who could cause unrest in the world, the first is Napoleon, and the second is Adolf Hilter). The identity of the Third Antichrist remains unknown.
Until Sabir, a journalist whose career is on the edge, tries to revive his career by writing an article on it.
He approached a Gypsy, who sold him some clues. These clues, however, happened to be the keys to retrieving back the missing 58 quatrains. Although the book revolves around the missing 58 quadrants from his 10 centuries, it was more like a hide-and-seek game. Almost half of the book describes how Bale, the antagonist, was chasing/stalking/watching over Sabir, Yola and Alexi (both Gypsies) the trio. Sabir and his gypsies were, on the other hand, trying to avoid both Bale and Captain Claque while trying to recover the prophecies.

Politics
Let's get political today!
to be more precise is Malaysia Political Affairs. your very beloved tanah air that you're currently living in.
I would say none of us would actually care about politics because it has minimal effect on our daily lives.
And to be detained without trials for up to 60 days (WITHOUT TRIAL!) so is like, you defame someone from the government, and they start taking you in as a "threat" and ISA you.
To top the list, you can be further detained for another 2 years ! now would you scream your way out for justice or stay silent to live a peaceful but injustice life?
we constantly live in petulant fear that one day, the government will topple and new power will reform and we're so afraid of changes and we stay passive.
when things stay passive, well, it gets stagnant and stale hence no improvements and only to leads more corruption.
often caught ourselves with this quizzical look when all our money has been laundered through some scam or massive corruption by political figures or the government, but there's no one out there to question the rights for us.
but as years gone by, people have come to such realization that all our hard-earned money has been lavishly used by the government without any significance changes. and the media has been fabricated with twisted facts and lies in order to keep the public from knowing the truth.
this disheartening fact, is now over! gone were those days where we stay completely oblivious to what's happening around us. why "other people" can afford to drive big cars and when we could only afford a local one.

AUTHOR: RICK RIORDAN
GENRE: ADVENTURE-FICTION
PUBLISHER: Hyperion Books
ISBN:9781423113386
PAGES: 516
Synopsis:
The setting has changed from Greek mythology to Ancient Egypt mythology, and the centre myth revolves around the Osiris-overthrown-by-Set-and-Isis--revived-Osiris story.
The main characters this time, are the Kane siblings, Carter Kane 14 and Sadie Kane, 12. The siblings are not close at all, having being raised separated since their mother's death 6 years ago. However things changed when their father, who is a famous Egyptian archeologist cum Magician, caused an explosion in the British Museum and released 5 Ancient Gods, ie Set, Osiris, Horus, Isis and Nephtys.
Set imprisoned Dr Kane and the siblings were forced to run for their lives. They must stop Set's evil plan to take over the world on the 3rd Demons' Day, ie sunrise of 29th December, which is also Set's birthday. They got help from various parties, Amos Kane, Bast the Cat Goddess, Isis, Horus, Magicians like Zia and Desjardins and Iskandar and many more.
The ending closes some mysteries and things that set the readers confused, also at the same time foreshadows the adventures in the next book, that is to find Zia and reunite the House of Life and the Gods.
The adventure is comparable to Percy's, however I personally feel that Percy's adventure is more exciting. However I must say I am being biased, cause Percy has 5 books in total and The Kanes only has 1.
Nonetheless, The Red Pyramid is a nice book and I strongly recommend it to Percy fans (that's you Benjamin Button!) and other friends who are being so boring at home with nothing to do.

TITLE: PS, I LOVE YOU
AUTHOR: CECELIA AHERN
GENRE: ROMANCE-FICTION
PUBLISHER: HarperCollins Publishers Ltd
ISBN: 9780007263080
PAGES: 512
Synopsis:
The story started after Gerry's death. Gerry and Holly has been a couple since very very young age. All their lives they live together, in love. After Gerry is lost to cancer, Holly seemed to dont know how to live her life anymore.
Then it turned out that Gerry has a secret plan. He sent 10 letters to Holly. Holly can only open 1 letter a month, the last letter will end on 31st December.
One letter a time, Holly was told/forced by Gerry to pull herself together and start living and move on.
The plot is nice. In fact the plot is one of the best plots I have ever seen for the past few years. However Ahern's writing is somewhat highly elaborated. Only Holly's breakdown has used up at least 1/3 of the book. The ending, with Gerry's last moment on earth intersecting in between, would have been better if Cecelia could add in more dramas into it.

Andrea wanted to work for the New Yorker, hence she endured whatever ridiculous and seemingly unreasonable and impossible-to-accomplish demands the editor-in-chief threw at her.
She dealt with a lot of impossible tasks and fashionistas during her job there. Without herself knowing, her perspective towards fashion begins to change, too. When she is too busy to have a lunch, she thought to herself "it's ok to skip one meal, a $2,000 pair of jeans doesn't look good on a fat girl anyway".
She began to put herself completely into the job, always answering the call whenever the phone rings; and began to ignore her family and friends. She has not seen her parents for months, she never visited her infant nephew, she ignored the struggles her best friend Lily is going through and most of all, she has troubles with her boyfriend.
The climax **ALERT SPOILERS* takes place during Paris Fashion Week. Where Lily got into a car accident and deemed herself in a comatose state. An-dre-ah was pressured by her family and Alex to go home, but Andrea knows this would mean giving up the 11 months of hardship she suffered and risked getting Miranda mad.
After Miranda praised Andy for reminding her as "her younger self for the dedication she put in", Andrea began to doubt the meaning of the job. (which I personally find this unacceptable and ridiculous). In the end Andrea disregard orders Miranda gave her and book a flight home, not to mention to ask Miranda to "go fuck herself" in the process.
Story ends with Andrea going back to Elias Clark building for a job interview and sees a young girl who dressed beautifully and holding up bunch of starbucks. The poor girl's phone rings and she looks like she is about to cry. Andrea realised the girl is her replacement, and she smiled to the security guard and walked into the elevator.

What you should do?
After growing increasingly frustrated over my laptop sleeve, which doesn't fit no matter I how i push my laptop in, i gave up finally!
My rm28 just flew like that!! So being very "emo" , I decided to find something exciting to do, or just to lash out on something. Look around the house and that jackjack was giving me the innocent doggie eyes.
Then i thought of bringing jackjack out for a walk lor since I'm still grieving over my laptop sleeve and he is bored. So why not? is a mutual thing right!
And so, the unraveling of the adventure begins. Me being me, was casually walking *stroke left, stroke right* and jackjack paused after a few steps looking for the spot to do his business.
After a few minutes, a brown silhouette which appeared to be a four-legged creature was running towards me or jackjack, (note running! like i am a slab of meat waving at him to come and bite me) and it huge compared to jackjack lar, and from jackjack's point of view, i think is like a werewolf to him.
And jackjack got so excited he thought that is his friend of the same size which appeared to be 3 times bigger and taller than him.
FUCK !! the moment the dog came, it started to bite jackjack. For that split second, i was completely dumbfounded trying to figure out what to do!
I can't leave jackjack alone to fend for himself because obviously he's too small and short compared to that giant dog. WHAT TO DO!!!
I carried jackjack in my arms like a baby -____-" and jackjack thought is funny. completely oblivious of the danger he is in, losing his life!! and by carrying him, i put my life at stake for trying to fight back a big dog with another dog in my hand
What should i do?
- RUN!!! which is the deadliest move. You and I also got learn lah, JANGAN LARI APABILA DIKEJAR ANJING. So if i run competing with a four-legged creature, i will definitely lose! and probably agitate him more. (no to this)
- Give jackjack up and run for my life. i will never do this because i
not a cowardcan't imagine going back later to scoop up jackjack's dead body or jackjack comes back haunting me at night in my dreams. (no to this) - Some good Samaritan comes out and lend me a hand, but after yelling the dog to back off for 5 minutes, nobody came to my rescue. FML. (no one came)
And I decided to stay put, and keep twirling in circles like i'm dancing with jackjack , so the stupid dog will go away but to no avail :(
is either the dog is gay (if is male) or being really horny cause jackjack is so appealing!
The dog kept pouncing on me, and wanna grab jackjack!!how i wish i have wings and just fly off , hoping that jackjack will poop some shit on the dogs face but that's not the truth.
Then suddenly, my neighbor's door cracked open, and
Seeing me being attacked by the dog, I've to ask her to let myself into her house instead of her offering me to take shelter in her house. WTF. And I went into her house with a triumph face.
Stupid loser dog. I win you lose. *sticking tongue out*
p/s: jackjack is a daschund or what we usually call, a hotdog! a short, long, black-coated dog. and jackjack still thinks he is hero because he didn't show any sign of fear.

PEACH first ever intellectual post *rock sign*
okayyy the title itself SAYS it all. i meann i'm writing an intellectual post! i'm writing about books!
books!!
the sole purpose that has driven me to write this because wei2 wrote me a birthday post here and got me all hyped up and like a women high on alco, that prompted me to do something out of odinary (for me) - which i'mm gonna writee here and there ( trust me, its all you needa know) about a few amazing books i read and the most conjob book ever which was a pain in the asss for me to read.
gosh, saw those previous post? i'm literally gobsmacked! they're so good! and they know poems!
sadly, this would be the most drunkenn post ever by yours truly.
oh yeah, bookss. let's talk books!
I BET u went to popular and saww this book all the time

first thought.
aiya, she's already famous wat. by all the rights, this book would definitely be a hit lar!
yes. i don't blame your for that, cause it took me 2 months to finally plucked a chord me in to buy that book. and i assure u, its a good read.
its a good read if you're in for
- a laugh
- click lit movies like mean girls, brakfast at tifannys! (its nice wtf),13 going to 30!- high 5!
- admit it, u're a romance freak.- double high 5
- a lil bit of detective story here and there
and don't read it
- if u hate chick lits
- u're a serious-chillless person
- 70-s fashion means nothing to you
- you're not into the whole chick lit thingy, thats okay! jodi picolt is awesome too!'
a brief summary- very brief in fact.
a girl, lara, got visited by her dead aunt. freaked out and in denial she think's she'a having some mental disoder/hallucination cause her carreer was tumbling.
her so called bff (bitch...) ditched her and her friend with a PR company to manage.
and she meets SADIE,the hantu in Sadie's funeral.
nice. and it scared the hell outta her. Sadie needs thee necklace back in order to move on so she need's Lara's help to get in. and in between all that detective work and juggling her career and her off and on boyfriend, she met a guy (WOOO.) hot of of course.
and Sadie turned Lara into a twenties girl in the modern days.
U'll be surprised how the story went!
*ends*

there's nothing SPLENDID about this.
in fact most of it was a bore, in my very own opinion as a bimbo- a literate bimbo.
BUT. some parts are ratherr interesting when it comes to the story on
Mariam and Laila's endure their life with no uncertainly what would happen.
it tells the lives of their loved ones being taken away by war or murder or even
suicide.
its not bad if you're interested on how the war happened ( i skipped the whole part)
and on how women are treated with no justice got me raging! its bullshit in fact how those women are treated.
in this story , law were implemented for men's benefit.women are neglected and stuff.
its not a bad read if you pay attention!
my verdict, worth the 40 bucks! but it was a pain in the ass to read through the boring part, seriously.
P/S: IF U LIKE THIS 20-s girl, you'll like this too

(if you wanna know! i can review it for u)
XOXO, readers!

POV: First Person POV

SYNOPSIS
The story is about Henry DeTamble and Clare Abshire and how Henry time travels throughout the novel. It started with Clare meeting Henry when they are all grown ups, but chronologically, they met when Clare was still a child while Henry is in his forties.
They fell in love, and get married, have a child (after so many miscarriages), and demise of one of the spouse. Overall it deals with their daily lives, and how they vie for a normal lifestyle which is quite impossible.
***spoilers alert!*** below are analysis of themes, characters etc. heavy spoilers.
CHARACTERS OVERVIEW
Henry DeTamble - Son of singer, Annette Robinson, and violist, Richard DeTamble. He is an only child in the family. Despite being born in a musical background family, he has no talent in music at all. In fact, he majored English Literature in college and he speaks French and German fluently, having constantly quotes from literatures. Chronologically, he is all over the place. He has this chromosome disorder that makes him involuntarily time travels to places and times that he is, somehow, related. He is emotional. His emotions will act as a gravity, pulling Henry towards the time that he strongly attached, emotionally. For example, he time traveled more than 6 times back to the X'mas Eve that his mother died. From there, he saw the accident from every angles, and saw how the younger self time traveled to save himself. He is also organized, despite the irony of incapable of controlling his own 24 hours. He taught his young self how to survive in the future, with all the skills; he saved his wedding, literally, by time traveling back to the wedding. Henry is a responsible person, being someone who can see the future and alter it at his own will, he never did it. except the time he wants to buy a new house for Clare and decided to cheat the lottery.
Clare Abshire - A child of a wealthy and big family, Clare is probably the youngest of the siblings. She was six when she first met Henry. Henry time traveled to the meadow where little Clare was playing alone. She doesn't believe Henry until he vanished in front of her eyes. Throughout her childhood, she is convinced that Henry would be her husband and hence she does not really date back in her schooling years. She is excited to see Henry when he appears but she would get worried , as an adult, whenever Hnery disappeared to meet her younger self. Her whole life centers around Henry, she loves him, even after Henry;s death.
THEMES
Absence of spouse in a relationship
Love transcends time
The law of Cause and Effect

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Is one of our bloggers birthday! she is a self-proclaimed princess (though we will never approve that)! she's a tyrant who works her slaves like dogs , can u imagine ? how horrendous will it be?
Whipping, screaming, yelling at the top of her lungs for us to serve her 24/7. Okay, brush that thought off. Because since is her birthday, we are approving it just for today. she's officially princess-for-a-day.
a random person who probably laughs at anything that tickles her mind which i assume is a very easy task. she can just laugh over an ant walking on a stick. she has a mind of her own lah, and she claimed that is creativity (nobody ever doubts it anyway).
and she's LAZY and tend to drag things ( BIGGEST PROCRASTINATOR EVER!!!) and possess good sense of humor lah which probably is her greatest personality that attracts people from different races and AGES (yea, even uncles wanna date her)
she's 20. so this is probably the first and last post because she wants her age to be remained as a secret after 20.
anyway, happy 20th birthday AMANDA ONG KAR MUN! here's the link to her blog.

idunno how to name this.
Some things you ought to know about this blog.
- We write random things from weather to politics to education.
The thing is, we practice freedom of speech (but more likely the freedom to blog) whatever we want.
We read (but the truth is I don't read much), we write ( not my thing either), we snap (pictures), travel , sleep, EAT (the most essential part of everyone's life). oh and we swear!
i can't think what else to write. but we will make the best out of this blog lah. Is still new, what you expect wor?
So don't set your expectations too high but just keep this in view.

The Road Not Taken - Robert Frost
| TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood, | |
| And sorry I could not travel both | |
| And be one traveler, long I stood | |
| And looked down one as far as I could | |
| To where it bent in the undergrowth; | 5 |
| Then took the other, as just as fair, | |
| And having perhaps the better claim, | |
| Because it was grassy and wanted wear; | |
| Though as for that the passing there | |
| Had worn them really about the same, | 10 |
| And both that morning equally lay | |
| In leaves no step had trodden black. | |
| Oh, I kept the first for another day! | |
| Yet knowing how way leads on to way, | |
| I doubted if I should ever come back. | 15 |
| I shall be telling this with a sigh | |
| Somewhere ages and ages hence: | |
| Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— | |
| I took the one less traveled by, | |
| And that has made all the difference. | 20 |
WHAT DO I THINK?
REMARK:: Okay, this is my first post and I thought I ought to pick something easy and yet meaningful. At this stage of my life, if not at this stage of our lives, the road begin to diverge and to split up.
I remember this poem from Form 4. Back then we were all
Besides, everyone learnt this poem before, it would be easy for them to constructively criticize my work I will try not to regurgitate what I still remember from my Form 4 reference book and analyze it based on what i feel.
:: REMARK ENDS
STANZA 1:
Line 1 and 2 are obviously referring to the fact that the author has come to a point where he must pick one of the two journeys ahead of him.
Back then, for me this poem was just, well, a poem. It doesn't mean more than homework or exam. But today I am at the end of main road now, it is time to pick the next journey.
Line 3, 4 and 5 states that the author tries to stand on his heels and sneak a peek of the roads; to decide which one should he pick. However, like any mortals, he lacks the power to foresee the future and hence he can't see clearly where the road "bent in the undergrowth".
Don't we all are in a some sort of dilemma right now? Trying to pick the right pathway. We want to know what is at the end of the road, sadly we will never know what awaits us.
STANZA 2:
Line 6-8 refer to the other road, the other road which looks more "grassy and wanted wear".
Line 9-10 means the author, on second thought, thinks both roads are equally worn by those "travelers" who are precedent of him.
I mean, doesn't this looks familiar? Every possible roads that lay ahead of you right now, no matter how bright-future-guaranteed it is, has been taken by seniors years, if not decades, before us.
STANZA 3:
Line 11-12 refers to both roads are actually still fresh and not extremely exhausted, as no leaves are "trodden black".
Line 13-15 are the turning points of this poem. It changes from shaking and dubious uncertainty to rock-hard and firm certitude to take on the road the author believes would be the best between both. Albeit he knows he will never come back, he believes he is making the right decision.
STANZA 4:
Line 16 and 17 shifts the setting towards "ages and ages hence", somewhere the author would be telling his past with sorrow.
Line 18-20 briefly give the readers an impression of how his years have been, after taking the "less-traveled" road.
The most important line in this poem, in my opinion, is line 20.
And that has made all the difference.
The tone of this line is very neutral, neither positive and negative. The author never tells the readers what difference did it made? Is it a good one? Is it a bad one? He leaves this to the speculations of the readers.
However it should be noted that the SIGH in line 16 doesn't mean the author is being regretful that he took the road less traveled. Instead, the SIGH refers to the road he HAS NOT taken. He ponders what would happen if he has taken the road more people travel. Where would he end up at? Would it be as satisfied as he is now?
Conclusion:
The poem's essence is at the last line. We should not pick the road most people travel, we should not choose the path less traveled by; we should, on the contrary, choose the one that we would feel most contented with. Decades later, when we came to the end of the road, we shall look back and smile with no regrets. We mustn't keep hanging out WHAT IF's after we picked the road.
***This is my first post and I know it is a terrible analysis. It is not professional and very subjective, having added a lot of my personal views. Not to mention I did not cross check the grammars and spellings as I was too fatigued during the time of writing. I will try to improve next time. Thank you. ***

Chapter I: Genesis
Okay, before you started getting a wrong impression on me,
let me clarify.
This blog is not for your entertainment, it is not for you to fulfill your curiosity on my personal life. Like the name of this blog, it is for me to record down how I feel about the books I read.
I've always wanted to do this, not just to record down what books I've read, but also to jot down the way I perceive the books. It is going to be amateurish and boring, but it's okay. You still have my other blog what.
I hope that as I analyze more, I can have a better understanding towards English at the same time read as much as I can when I have the time.
The ultimate goal of this blog is to analyze Classics, eg Emma, Jane Eyre, Pride and Prejudice etc etc. I won't read Shakespeare though, it's too hard for me. I shall start with contemporary novels that are easy to analyze.

Please do not laugh at me. Thank you. =]
